 Oxo-degradable plastic: green or greenwash?

 

Oxo-degradable plastics, like the kind used by Albany to package their bread, has been getting a lot of negative media lately.

Unlike Green Home's products that are biodegradable, degradable plastics are made out of petroleum and merely break up into smaller pieces with the help of an added chemical compound.
