The
biodegradable revolution is rising! Thanks to all of
you!
This
month we'd like to feature how the Flower
Room in Knysna have used our
packaging for their strawberries.
We’ve
also expanded our product range.Click
here to view new cups, utensils
and more.
Because
we received so much positive feedback about the video link in
last month's newsletter, we thought it would be great from now
on to share our favourite movie in our monthly newsletters.
Feel free to share your favourite or interesting green videos
with us or post any comments or information on our blog, Green
Flavour.

Oxo-degradable
plastic: green or greenwash? |
|
|
Oxo-degradable
plastics, like the kind used by Albany to package their
bread, has been getting a lot of negative media lately.
Unlike Green Home's products that are biodegradable,
degradable plastics are made out of petroleum and merely break
up into smaller pieces with the help of an added chemical
compound.
Read the articles that appeared in The
Guardian and European
Plastics News.

Check
out this short animated film about global warming and fossil fuels, "Wake
up, Freak out - then get a grip"
.

"For the past three million years
our planet's climate has always been in one or the other of
two stables states...The problem is that our use of fossil fuels is pushing
us further and further out of our little stable dip and up the
far slope of this hill."
