Global Climate
Week this past month has done much to highlight the action
that is urgently needed for us to reverse the negative impact
that climate change has already started to have on communities
- especially here in South Africa. So we

call was unbelievable - 2632 events in 134 countries, tens of
thousands of phone calls crashing government lines,
unbelievable creativity and diversity of events, directly
reaching heads of state and cabinet ministers from South
Africa to Europe. On 21 September 2009, people from around the
world joined together to issue a deafening wake-up call to

Hoodwinked
in the
hothouse |

Rising Tide, an
organisation based in North
America has released its first short yet
comprehensive survey of, what they regard as, "bogus" climate
change
solutions.
The 20 page
pamphlet — “Hoodwinked in the Hothouse” — covers topics as
diverse as Clean Coal, Agrofuels, Geoengineering, Carbon
Offsets and over a dozen other non-solutions to the climate
